Svenska Skolan Colorado

The Swedish School of Colorado (SSC) was founded in 2007 to provide education in the Swedish language, history, and culture, while fostering understanding and friendship among students. As a community hub for those interested in Swedish heritage, the school offers a place for students and parents to connect with others who speak Swedish.

The curriculum focuses on building skills in speaking, listening, understanding, reading, and writing in Swedish. Alongside language instruction, students learn about Swedish traditions, holidays, cultural events, history, and lifestyle. Intermediate and advanced classes are conducted entirely in Swedish, while beginner classes incorporate both English and Swedish.

This semester, the school serves 34 students, ranging in age from 6 months to adults, across seven classes with six teachers. One class is fully online, and we may move an adult online class next semester.
